Johann Michael Sailer Verlag transfers subscription management to platform X – Migration successfully completed in record time

Bonn/Nuremberg, April 9, 2026 – JohannMichael Sailer Verlagtransferred its subscription management to platform X GmbH as of March 1, 2026, as part of an exclusive strategic partnership. With this move, the publisher is paving the way for even more efficient, scalable, and future-proof subscription management. The complete migration of the subscription portfolio was successfully completed in record time.

As part of this mandate, platform X, as a full-service provider, will handle all operational aspects of the subscriptions. This includes contract administration, address and payment management, billing, collections, managing all service channels for end customers, and logistics. The goal of the collaboration is to streamline processes, sustainably improve service quality, and lay the groundwork for future growth initiatives in direct sales.

A project completed in record time

The technical and organizational migration of the existing subscription portfolio to platform X’s systems was carried out through close, highly professional collaboration between both teams. Thanks to tightly integrated project management, standardized interfaces, and proven migration processes, all relevant data was transferred securely, completely, and without any significant disruption to ongoing business operations.

“Our partnership with platform X is a key strategic step toward sustainably modernizing and scaling our subscription processes. By outsourcing our operational subscription management, we’ve streamlined our day-to-day operations and can focus our resources even more strongly on our core publishing business. Our mission is to empower children and young people through our magazines over many years by supporting them in their learning and growth over the long term. With content that imparts knowledge, fosters creativity, and sparks a love of reading. This makes it all the more important for us to be able to rely on stable, scalable processes and excellent service behind the scenes. We were particularly impressed by the high level of professionalism and speed with which the migration was implemented. This collaboration lays the foundation on which we can further expand our direct sales and reach even more young readers. “Furthermore, we gain significantly expanded opportunities to further develop customer relationships based on data and to strengthen the subscription business in the long term,”says Dr. Stefan Kiener, Publishing Director at Johann Michael Sailer Verlag.

Platform X is also very satisfied with how the project has progressed:“The migration for Johann Michael Sailer Verlag was a special project for us in many ways. Thanks to the very close and trusting collaboration between both teams, we were able to transfer the entire subscription portfolio in an exceptionally short time and without disrupting day-to-day operations. At the same time, with this migration—from operational subscription management to data-driven analysis and
optimization processes—we are laying the foundation for further growth and the sustainable development of the subscription business,”
explains Michael Schrader, Managing Director of platform X.

For Johann Michael Sailer Verlag, this partnership significantly reduces the workload associated with day-to-day operations. By outsourcing subscription management, the publisher will be able to focus even more on its editorial work and the further development of its portfolio, while platform X handles the operational implementation using modern IT systems, specialized teams of experts, and scalable processes.

Customers will benefit from streamlined service processes, expanded self-service options, additional payment methods, and improved communication channels. Existing subscriptions will continue as usual; the terms of the agreements and delivery conditions will not be affected by the transition.

A key benefit of this partnership lies in platform X’s integrated “Data & AI” service offering. Using machine learning and predictive analytics, subscription and customer data are systematically analyzed to reduce churn, optimize renewal processes, and effectively tap into cross-selling and upselling opportunities throughout the customer journey.

Reporting and analysis are fully integrated into the platform and provide not only raw data but also concrete, sales-relevant insights. This opens up significantly expanded opportunities for Johann Michael Sailer Verlag to further develop customer relationships based on data and to strengthen its subscription business in the long term.

Both partners have already identified further opportunities to expand their successful collaboration. The goal is to continuously develop the subscription business, tap into additional growth opportunities, and set new standards in modern subscription services.
